Get started as a Family Lead

Family

Welcome to StandShare! As a Family Lead, you manage your family's fundraising account, track earnings from concession stand events, request scholarships, and keep required documents up to date.

This guide walks you through the essentials after your first login.

Step 1: Complete the Setup Wizard

If you arrived by scanning a QR code or opening an invite link, you may have already landed in the right org — see Join a StandShare org from a QR invite for that flow.

If this is your first time signing in, StandShare will automatically launch the Setup Wizard. The wizard walks you through three steps:

  1. Organization -- Search for and join your organization, or create a new one.
  2. Students -- Add students in your family along with their activities.
  3. Guest Workers -- Optionally register people who can work concession stand events on your family's behalf.

Once the wizard is complete, you will arrive at your Dashboard.

tip

If you skipped the wizard or need to finish it later, look for the Complete Setup banner at the top of your Dashboard.

Step 2: Explore Your Dashboard

Your Dashboard gives you a snapshot of your family's status at a glance. It includes three summary cards:

  • Account Balance -- Your current fundraising balance and how much it changed this month.
  • Pending Scholarships -- The number of scholarship requests awaiting review.
  • Document Compliance -- A percentage showing how many required documents you have submitted, and how many are still needed.

Below the summary cards you will find Quick Actions and Recent Activity.

Step 3: View Your Balance and Transactions

To see a detailed history of credits and debits on your family account:

  1. Click Transactions in the top navigation bar.
  2. Browse your transaction history, which shows commissions, scholarship payments, and fund deductions.

Each transaction displays the date, type, description, and amount.

Step 4: Check Upcoming Events

To see which concession stand events your family is assigned to:

  1. Click Events in the top navigation bar.
  2. Use the All / Signed up / Not signed up filter to focus the list — for example, Not signed up surfaces upcoming events you still need to cover.
  3. Click an event card to open its detail page, where you can sign up workers, join, decline, or view the roster.

The Events page has a List tab and a Calendar tab in the same view — switch between them without leaving the page. Settled events show a Worked pill if your family attended.

Step 5: Upload Required Documents

Your organization may require documents such as food handler permits or liability waivers.

  1. Click Documents in the top navigation bar.
  2. Review the list of required documents and their status.
  3. Click Upload Document to submit a new file.

Your Document Compliance percentage on the Dashboard updates automatically as you upload documents.

Step 6: Request a Scholarship

When you need funds disbursed from your account:

  1. Click Scholarships in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click New Scholarship Request (or use the Quick Action on the Dashboard).
  3. Fill out the request form and submit.

You can track the status of all your requests on the Scholarships page.

As a Family Lead, three primary links sit in the top navigation bar:

Everything else lives behind the overflow icon (the icon-only button next to the bell): Transactions, Documents, Calendar, Library, Announcements, Directory, Help, and Feedback.

Your avatar in the top-right opens a menu with your profile, org switcher (if you belong to more than one org), and Sign out.

See Platform Navigation Map for the full layout including how the header changes for other roles.
