Sign in to your account

All Roles

StandShare offers several ways to sign in. Choose whichever method is most convenient for you.

Sign-In Methods

Social Sign-In (Google, Microsoft, or Apple)

Social sign-in is the fastest way to access your account. Your StandShare account is linked to the email address associated with your social provider.

  1. Open the StandShare login page.
  2. Below the login form, find the Or continue with section.
  3. Click Sign in with Google, Sign in with Microsoft, or Sign in with Apple.
  4. Complete the authentication prompt from your chosen provider.
  5. You will be redirected to your Dashboard automatically.
tip

If your organization uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, social sign-in lets you use the same credentials you already know.

A magic link sends a one-time login URL to your email -- no password required.

  1. Open the StandShare login page.
  2. Click the Magic Link tab at the top of the login card.
  3. Enter your Email Address and click Send Magic Link.
  4. Check your inbox for an email from StandShare.
  5. Click the link in the email to sign in. You will land on your Dashboard.
note

Magic links expire after a short time. If the link has expired, return to the login page and request a new one.

Email and Password

If you registered with an email and password, you can use them to sign in directly.

  1. Open the StandShare login page.
  2. Make sure the Password Login tab is selected (it is selected by default).
  3. Enter your Email Address and Password.
  4. Click Sign In.

First-Time Users

If you do not have an account yet:

  1. Click the Sign up link at the bottom of the login card.
  2. Complete the registration form with your name, email, and a password (or use a social provider).
  3. After registering, you will be guided through the Setup Wizard to connect your family to an organization, add students, and optionally register guest workers. See Initial Organization Setup for details.

Returning Users

When you return to StandShare, you will land on the page you last visited (usually your Dashboard). If your session has expired, you will be asked to sign in again using any of the methods above.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

If your account has MFA enabled, you will be prompted for a verification code after entering your credentials.

  1. After entering your password (or completing social sign-in), the Verification Required screen appears.
  2. Open your authenticator app and enter the current 6-digit code.
  3. Click Verify.

If you cannot access your authenticator app, click Use a recovery code instead and enter one of your saved backup codes.

To set up MFA for the first time or manage trusted devices, see Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication.

Trusted Devices

When completing MFA, you can check Trust this device for 30 days. On trusted devices, the MFA prompt is skipped for 30 days. Clearing your browser cookies or using a different browser will require MFA again.

To manage or remove trusted devices, go to Settings > Security > Trusted Devices.

Recovery Codes

Recovery codes are one-time backup codes you saved when you first enabled MFA. Use them if you lose access to your authenticator app.

  1. On the MFA prompt, click Use a recovery code instead.
  2. Enter one of your backup codes.
  3. Click Verify.

Each code can only be used once. After signing in with a recovery code, go to Settings > Security to regenerate a fresh set of codes.
