Get started as a Guest Worker

Guest Worker

As a Guest Worker, you work concession stand events on behalf of a family in the organization. StandShare gives you a dedicated portal to view your assignments, track your event history, and stay connected.

Accessing the Guest Portal

  1. Sign in to StandShare using any of the available methods (see Signing In).
  2. If your only role is Guest Worker, you will be redirected automatically to the Guest Dashboard at /guest/dashboard.
note

Guest Workers see a simplified navigation with two primary links — Dashboard and Events. Other pages (Library, Directory, Feedback) are available in the overflow menu. The avatar icon in the top-right opens profile and sign-out.

Your Guest Dashboard

The Guest Dashboard is your home page. It displays three summary cards at the top:

  • Total Events Worked -- The total number of events you have participated in.
  • Families Worked For -- How many different families you have represented, with their names listed.
  • Upcoming Events -- The number of events you are assigned to that have not yet occurred.

Viewing Your Assignments

Below the summary cards, the Upcoming Events section lists each event you are assigned to. For each event you can see:

  • Event name and venue
  • Date of the event
  • Family you are working for
  • Stand number (if assigned to a specific stand)
  • Role (if a specific role like cashier or cook has been assigned)
  • Attendance status badge (e.g., assigned, confirmed)

Review this section regularly so you know when and where you need to be.

Checking In at Events

On the day of the event, the Event Coordinator will mark your attendance. You may see your status change to one of the following:

StatusMeaning
assignedYou are scheduled to work this event
confirmedYour attendance has been confirmed
attendedYou have been marked as present
no showYou did not attend the event
cancelledYour assignment was cancelled

If you cannot attend an event you are assigned to, contact the Event Coordinator or Family Lead as early as possible.

Viewing Your Event History

Scroll down on the Guest Dashboard to find the Recent Event History table. This shows past events with details including:

  • Event name and venue
  • Date
  • Family you worked for
  • Stand number
  • Your role at the event
  • Your attendance status

If you have worked for multiple families, a Families Worked For section appears at the bottom listing each family and the number of events you completed for them.

Other Features

Guest Workers also have access to these pages through the navigation:

  • Library -- Browse shared documents and resources from the organization.
  • Directory -- Look up contact information for other members.
  • Feedback -- Submit feedback or report issues to the organization.
