Complete your assigned training
Your organization may assign training modules that you need to complete before volunteering at concession stand events. Training helps make sure everyone knows the rules and procedures for food safety, cash handling, and other important topics.
Finding Your Training
- Log in to StandShare and go to your Dashboard.
- Look for the My Training section, or select Training from the navigation menu.
- You will see your training assignments organized into two groups:
- Pending -- training you still need to finish.
- Completed -- training you have already finished.
Each assignment card shows the module name, your current status, and a progress bar. If a training has a due date, you will see it at the bottom of the card.
Assignments marked Required must be completed before you can sign up for shifts. Take care of these first.
Working Through a Module
- Click on any training card to open it.
- If the module includes a video, it will appear at the top of the page. Press play to start watching.
- The progress bar below the video shows which segments you have watched. You need to watch the entire video before moving on to the quiz or attestation.
- If the module includes written content, read through it carefully. A timer at the top right tracks how long you have spent on the material.
- Some modules include links to videos, external resources, or attachments -- review these as part of your training.
You cannot skip ahead in the video. StandShare tracks which parts you have watched so you get the full training experience.
Answering Quizzes
Some training modules include a quiz after the video or reading material. Here is how quizzes work:
- The quiz unlocks after you watch the video. If you see a lock icon and a message saying "Assessment Locked," keep watching -- the quiz will appear once you finish the video.
- Read each question carefully and select your answer(s):
- True/False questions -- pick one answer.
- Multiple choice questions -- select all answers that apply.
- Matching questions -- use the dropdown menus to match items on the left with the correct items on the right.
- Attestation questions -- check the box to confirm you have read and understood the statement.
- When you have answered every question, click Submit Quiz.
- Your score is shown immediately as a percentage. The passing score is displayed on the results screen (for example, "Passing score: 80%").
- If you pass, the training is marked complete. You are done.
- If you do not pass, you may be able to try again. Click Try Again to retake the quiz. The number of attempts you have left is shown on the results screen.
There is no penalty for reviewing the video or written material again before retaking the quiz.
If you have used all of your allowed attempts and still have not passed, you will see a message asking you to contact your administrator. Reach out to your group's coordinator for help.
Tracking Your Progress
You can see how far along you are at any time:
- On the Training page, each card shows a colored status badge:
- Not Started (gray) -- you have not opened this module yet.
- In Progress (blue) -- you have started watching the video but have not finished.
- Completed (green) -- you have finished the module and passed any required quiz.
- Inside a module, the segment bar below the video shows exactly which parts you have watched. It displays something like "12 of 20 segments watched."
- On the My Compliance page, you can see all your active completions, items expiring soon, and expired items across all venues.
What Happens When You Finish
When you complete a training module:
- A green Training Complete banner appears at the top of the module page, showing the date you finished.
- The assignment card on the Training page changes to show a green checkmark and a "Completed" badge.
- Your administrator is notified that you have finished the training.
- If the training has an expiration period, you will see the expiration date on your My Compliance page. StandShare will flag items that are expiring within 30 days so you can renew them in time.
Some training modules expire and need to be completed again periodically. Keep an eye on the Expiring Soon tab on your My Compliance page so you do not lose your clearance to volunteer.
