Review venue ownership claims
When an organization (tenant) wants to take ownership of a venue listing in the platform directory, they submit a venue claim. As a platform administrator, you review these claims and decide whether to approve or reject them.
Accessing the Claim Queue
- Sign in to the Platform Admin panel.
- Go to Venue Directory.
- Click the Venue Claims button in the top-right area. A red badge shows the number of pending claims.
Understanding the Queue
Each claim card shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Venue ID | The platform venue being claimed |
| Operator ID | The organization requesting ownership |
| Submitted | Date and time the claim was filed |
| Verification Method | How the organization is proving their connection to the venue |
| Domain | The domain used for verification (if applicable) |
| Document | A link to any uploaded verification document |
| Status | Pending, Approved, or Rejected |
Filtering Claims
Use the status tabs at the top of the queue to filter:
- Pending — claims awaiting your review (default view)
- Approved — previously approved claims
- Rejected — previously rejected claims
- All — every claim regardless of status
You can also filter claims for a specific venue if you arrived from the venue detail page.
Approving a Claim
- Review the claim details, including any verification documents.
- Click the Approve button on the claim card.
- The claim status changes to Approved immediately, and the venue's ownership state changes to "Claimed."
Before approving, verify the organization's connection to the venue. Check verification documents and domain ownership carefully.
Rejecting a Claim
- Click the Reject button on the claim card.
- In the dialog that appears, optionally type a Review Note explaining why the claim is being rejected.
- Click Reject to confirm.
The rejection note is saved and visible to you in the claim history. It helps maintain a record of your decision.
Pagination
When there are many claims, the queue is paginated with 25 claims per page. Use the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom to navigate between pages. The total count is shown above the pagination controls.
What Happens After Approval
Once a venue claim is approved:
- The venue's ownership state changes from "Platform Managed" to "Claimed."
- The claiming organization gains editing privileges over the venue listing.
- The venue still appears in the platform directory for all tenants to browse.
