Review venue edit suggestions

Platform Admin

Tenants and users can suggest changes to venue listings in the platform directory. These suggestions land in the Suggest-Edit Queue for platform administrators to review, accept, or reject.

Accessing the Suggest-Edit Queue

  1. Sign in to the Platform Admin panel.
  2. Go to Venue Directory.
  3. Click the Suggest Edits button. A red badge shows the number of pending suggestions.

Understanding a Suggested Edit

Each suggestion card displays:

  • Venue name and location (city, state)
  • Venue ID — the platform venue the edit applies to
  • Submitted date — when the suggestion was created
  • Rationale — the submitter's explanation for the proposed change (shown in italics)
  • Proposed Changes — a diff showing each field and its new value highlighted in green
  • Status — Pending, Approved, or Rejected

Proposed Changes Diff

The diff section lists every field the submitter wants to change. For example:

  • capacity: 52000 — the submitter is suggesting the capacity be updated to 52,000
  • website: https://newsite.example.com — a new website URL

Only changed fields appear. If a field is not listed, it would remain unchanged.

Filtering Suggestions

Use the status tabs to filter the queue:

  • Pending — suggestions awaiting your review (default)
  • Approved — previously accepted suggestions
  • Rejected — previously rejected suggestions
  • All — every suggestion

You can also view suggestions for a specific venue by navigating from the venue detail page.

Approving a Suggestion

  1. Review the proposed changes carefully.
  2. Click the Approve button.
  3. The suggestion status changes to Approved, and the proposed changes are applied to the venue record.
note

Approving a suggestion updates the venue immediately. Double-check the proposed values before approving.

Rejecting a Suggestion

  1. Click the Reject button on the suggestion card.
  2. In the dialog, optionally enter a Review Note explaining your reasoning.
  3. Click Reject to confirm.

The note is saved with the suggestion for your records.

Pagination

The queue shows 25 items per page. Navigate between pages using the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom. The total count and current page are displayed alongside the controls.
