Configure your venue settings
As an operator, you manage one or more venues where tenant organizations run concession stand events. This guide covers how to view and edit venue details, manage operational settings, and organize stand layouts.
Accessing Your Venues
Your venues are visible from the Operator Dashboard, which displays the total number of venues you manage. To work with a specific venue, navigate to it through the operator sidebar or from the Groups page where venues are assigned.
Venue Information
Each venue in StandShare has the following details:
- Name -- The venue's display name (for example, "Riverside Stadium").
- City and State -- The venue's location.
- Address -- The full street address.
- Capacity -- The venue's total seating or attendance capacity.
- Venue Type -- The category of venue: Stadium, Arena, Amphitheater, Convention Center, Fairground, or Other.
- Phone and Website -- Contact information for the venue.
- Active/Inactive Status -- Whether the venue is currently in use.
Editing Venue Details
To update a venue's information:
- Open the venue from your operator dashboard or groups page.
- Select Edit to enter editing mode.
- Update the fields you need to change.
- Select Save to apply your changes.
Changes take effect immediately and are visible to all tenant organizations that work at the venue.
Venue Ownership
Venues in StandShare have an ownership status:
- Platform Managed -- The venue was created by StandShare and is available for any operator to claim.
- Claimed -- An operator organization has claimed the venue and manages it.
If your organization has claimed a venue, you have full control over its settings, notices, and compliance requirements. Tenant organizations can see the venue details but cannot modify them.
Stand Layouts
Stand layouts define the physical configuration of concession stands at a venue. This information is used when assigning workers to specific stands during events.
Viewing Layouts
The stand layout section shows each stand's:
- Stand number or name.
- Location within the venue.
- Any special notes about the stand.
Managing Layouts
Stand layouts are managed at the platform level by StandShare administrators. If you need changes to your venue's stand layout, contact StandShare support.
Associating Venues with Groups
Venues are organized through operator groups. To add a venue to a group:
- Go to Groups in the operator sidebar.
- Open the group you want to add the venue to.
- In the Venues tab, enter the venue ID and select Add Venue.
For more details, see Managing Operator Groups.
Compliance and Notices
Each venue can have its own set of compliance requirements and notices. These are managed from the Compliance and Venue Notices sections of the operator portal.
- Compliance Requirements apply to all tenant organizations and workers operating at the venue.
- Venue Notices are communications that workers must read and, if required, acknowledge.
See Venue Notices and Training and Operator Compliance Dashboard for details.
Tips
- Keep venue information up to date so tenant organizations have accurate details when planning events.
- If a venue is temporarily unavailable, set it to Inactive rather than deleting it. This preserves historical data.
- Use operator groups to organize venues by region, type, or any other grouping that makes sense for your organization.
