Confirm or decline your event assignment
Before officially signing up workers for an event, you can indicate your availability using the RSVP feature. This helps coordinators plan staffing levels and know who is likely to attend.
How RSVP Works
RSVP is separate from event signup. Think of it this way:
- RSVP tells the coordinator whether you expect to be available.
- Signup actually registers you or your workers for the event.
Coordinators can see everyone's RSVP status when planning rosters, which helps them decide whether to open more spots or reach out to families who have not responded.
Set Your Availability
- Go to the Event Signup page.
- Find the event you want to respond to.
- Below the event details, you will see three availability buttons:
- Available -- You plan to attend or send workers.
- Tentative -- You might be able to attend but are not sure yet.
- Unavailable -- You cannot attend this event.
- Click the button that matches your situation.
- A brief confirmation message appears (for example, "Marked as available").
Your selection is saved immediately. You can change it at any time by clicking a different option.
What Each Status Means
| Status | What It Tells the Coordinator |
|---|---|
| Available | Your family plans to participate in this event. |
| Tentative | You are not sure yet but might be able to send workers. |
| Unavailable | Your family will not be participating in this event. |
| No response | You have not indicated your availability yet. |
What Happens After You RSVP
- Your availability is visible to coordinators and admins when they view the event roster.
- Setting your availability to "Available" does not automatically register you. You still need to complete the signup step if you want to be officially registered. See Event Signup and Browsing.
- If you mark yourself as "Unavailable," you can still sign up later if you change your plans (as long as signup is open).
Changing Your RSVP
You can update your availability at any time before the event:
- Return to the Event Signup page.
- Find the event.
- Click a different availability button.
Your previous selection is replaced with the new one.
Tips
- Responding early helps coordinators plan ahead, even if you are only tentative.
- If you are unavailable for an event, marking it as such helps coordinators know they need to find additional coverage.
- RSVP status does not affect your account, earnings, or attendance record. Only official signup and attendance tracking affect those.
