Sign up for a concession stand event

Family

This guide explains how family leads browse upcoming concession stand events and register workers from the unified Events Hub.

Open the Events Page

  1. Sign in to StandShare.
  2. Click Events in the top navigation, or use Sign Up for Events from your Dashboard.

The Events page lists every upcoming event your organization has published, plus any cross-org collaboration events your family is eligible to work. If nothing is listed, your coordinator has not posted events yet.

Filter the List

A segmented filter sits below the search bar with three options:

  • All — every upcoming event.
  • Signed up — only events where someone in your family is currently confirmed.
  • Not signed up — upcoming events you have not yet joined (past events are hidden).

Filtering happens instantly — the page does not reload. Use the search box to narrow by event name or venue; search also runs locally, so results update as you type.

If your org has many events, a Load more button appears at the bottom of the list. Click it to pull in the next batch.

Read an Event Card

Each card summarizes one event:

  • Event name and a lifecycle badge (Upcoming, Happening Now, Completed, or Settled).
  • Venue and event date.
  • Capacity — for events with a worker cap, the card shows spots filled (for example, 12 / 20 spots) or a Full badge when no spots remain.
  • Signup statusSignup Open, Signup Opens {date} with a countdown, or Signup Closed.
  • Registration statusSigned Up, Waitlisted, or Declined badge if someone in your family has already responded.
  • Worked — a green pill on completed or settled events where your family was confirmed and attended.
  • Rate — on settled events, the configured per-worker rate (for example, Rate: $42.00/worker). This is the rate that was set for the event, not a guarantee of what you received.

Tiered Signup Windows

Some events open for specific groups first. If your family belongs to a priority group, the event may open earlier than general registration — the card shows when your window begins. If you are not in a priority group, the event card shows when general signup opens and a countdown.

See Set up priority registration windows for the admin side.

Open an Event

Click any event card to open the Event Detail page. From here you can:

  • Review the venue, date, signup window, and stand layout.
  • See who is already signed up.
  • Sign workers up, decline, or join the waitlist.
  • Use the event message board to coordinate with other families (when enabled).

The detail page replaces older modal flows — signup happens in-line with stand assignments visible.

Register Workers for an Event

When signup is open and spots are available:

  1. Open the event from the Events list.
  2. Click Sign Up Workers on the Event Detail page.
  3. A panel lists your family's workers and guest workers — check the box next to each person you want to register.
  4. Click Register Selected Workers.
  5. A confirmation toast appears, and the event card updates to a green Signed Up badge with the worker count.

Edge highlights on the card show that your family is in the roster at a glance — useful when scrolling a long list.

Join as an Individual

To sign up only yourself:

  1. Click Join on the Event Detail page or from the card.
  2. If spots are available, you are confirmed immediately.
  3. If the event is full and the waitlist is enabled, you are added to the waitlist. The card shows your queue position in a Waitlisted badge.

Decline an Event

If you know you cannot attend, click Decline. Your status changes to Declined. You can reverse this by clicking Join again while signup is still open.

info

Cancelled and no-show registrations do not count as "signed up" — the Signed up filter hides them so you can spot events you still need to cover.

Indicate Your Availability (RSVP)

Each event card includes availability buttons so you can let coordinators know your plans before officially signing up. See Event RSVP.

View Existing Registrations

On the Event Detail page, scroll to the Roster section to see who else is signed up — name, family, and registration status for each worker.

Review Your Past Events

Settled events stay in the list with the Settled badge and the Worked pill if your family participated. For a full breakdown of earnings, see Review your past events and earnings.

Tips

  • When an event shows Signup Closed, registration is locked. Contact your coordinator if you still need to be added.
  • Capacity fills fastest right after signup opens. Check the Signup Opens countdown and register early.
  • If your organization has notifications turned on, you will receive a confirmation when you register.
