Customize your organization's welcome page
Your organization's landing page is the first thing visitors see when they navigate to your StandShare subdomain. The landing page editor lets you add, arrange, and customize sections to create a welcoming public page for prospective families and volunteers.
Accessing the Editor
- Open Admin Hub from the top navigation.
- Switch to the Org Settings tab and click the Landing Page card.
The editor loads all existing sections and lets you switch between Edit and Preview modes. Landing Page moved out of the Content tab into Org Settings alongside Branding — both are org configuration, not public-facing content you publish.
Section Types
You can add any combination of these section types to your landing page:
- Hero Banner -- A large banner at the top of the page with a heading, subheading, background image, and a call-to-action button.
- About -- A text section with an optional image to describe your organization.
- Features -- A list of feature highlights, each with an icon, title, and description.
- Announcements -- Recent news or updates, each with a title, date, and body text.
- Contact Info -- Display your organization's phone number, email address, and physical address.
- Custom Text -- A free-form section that supports HTML content for maximum flexibility.
- Call to Action -- A focused section with a description and a prominent button linking to any page (such as your registration page).
Adding a Section
- Select Add Section at the top of the editor.
- Choose the section type from the dropdown menu.
- The new section appears at the bottom of the list with default placeholder content.
- Edit the section content (see below).
- Select Save to publish your changes.
Editing a Section
Select Edit on any section to expand its editor. Each section type has its own form:
Hero Banner
- Heading -- The main text displayed prominently on the banner.
- Subheading -- Supporting text below the heading.
- Background Image URL -- A link to the image displayed behind the banner text.
- CTA Button Text -- The label on the call-to-action button (for example, "Get Started").
- CTA Link -- The page the button links to (for example, "/register").
About
- Body -- The main text describing your organization.
- Image URL -- A link to an image displayed alongside the text.
Features
Each feature item has:
- Icon -- An icon identifier.
- Title -- A short label.
- Description -- A brief explanation.
Use Add Feature to add more items, or Remove to delete one.
Announcements
Each announcement has:
- Title -- The headline.
- Date -- When the announcement was posted.
- Body -- The full text.
Use Add Announcement to add more, or Remove to delete one.
Contact Info
- Phone -- Your organization's phone number.
- Email -- A contact email address.
- Address -- Your physical address.
Custom Text
- Body -- Free-form content that supports HTML. Script tags and event handlers are removed for security.
Call to Action
- Description -- Text above the button (for example, "Ready to get started?").
- Button Text -- The button label.
- Button Link -- The URL the button links to.
Reordering Sections
Sections are displayed in the order they appear in the editor. To change the order, use the move controls on each section to shift it up or down in the list.
Hiding a Section
Each section has a visibility toggle. Turn it off to hide the section from your public landing page without deleting it. This is useful when you want to temporarily remove content and bring it back later.
Deleting a Section
Select Delete on a section and confirm the deletion. This permanently removes the section and its content.
Previewing Your Changes
Select the Preview tab at the top of the editor to see how your landing page will look to visitors. The preview renders all visible sections using the same layout visitors will see.
Switch back to the Edit tab to continue making changes.
Publishing
Changes are saved and published when you select Save after editing a section. There is no separate publish step -- saved changes go live immediately on your organization's landing page.
Tips
- Start with a Hero Banner and an About section to create a strong first impression.
- Use the Call to Action section to direct visitors to your registration or signup page.
- Keep Announcements current -- remove outdated items so visitors see timely information.
- Use Preview mode after every change to make sure your page looks the way you expect.
- For custom HTML in the Custom Text section, stick to simple formatting. Complex layouts may not display consistently across all devices.
