Track worker attendance and performance
The Worker Performance dashboard gives administrators a detailed view of attendance and reliability statistics for every family in the organization. Use it to identify your most active volunteers, spot attendance issues, and make informed decisions about event staffing.
Accessing Worker Performance
Open Admin Hub from the top navigation, then find Worker Performance under the People or Finance tab. You can also reach it from the Reports page by selecting the Performance tab.
Worker Performance is available on all subscription tiers — no feature flag or upgrade required. You need the Admin role to access it.
Understanding the Dashboard
The Performance Table
The main table shows one row per family with these columns:
- Family -- The family name. Select any row to expand and see detailed event history.
- Assigned -- Total number of event assignments the family has received.
- Attended -- Number of events the family actually attended.
- No-Shows -- Number of events where the family was assigned but did not show up. Highlighted in red when greater than zero.
- Attendance Rate -- Percentage of assigned events that were attended.
- Reliability -- A calculated reliability score shown as a color-coded badge:
- Green (90% or above) -- Highly reliable.
- Yellow (70-89%) -- Moderately reliable.
- Red (below 70%) -- Needs attention.
- Last Event -- The date of the family's most recent event.
Sorting
Select any column header to sort the table by that column. Select the same header again to reverse the sort order. An arrow indicator shows the current sort direction.
Available sort columns: Family name, Assigned, Attended, No-Shows, Attendance Rate, and Reliability.
Filtering by Minimum Assignments
Use the Min Assignments slider above the table to filter out families with very few assignments. For example, setting it to 5 will only show families who have been assigned to at least 5 events. This helps you focus on families with enough data for meaningful statistics.
Viewing Family Details
Select any row in the table to expand it and see that family's complete event history. The detail panel shows:
Event History Table
Each past event is listed with:
- Event -- The event name.
- Date -- When the event took place.
- Worker -- The specific family member who was assigned.
- Stand -- The stand number they were assigned to, or "Unassigned" if not specified.
- Role -- Their role assignment for the event, if any.
- Status -- A color-coded badge showing the attendance outcome:
- Attended (green) -- The worker showed up and worked the event.
- No Show (red) -- The worker did not attend.
- Cancelled (gray) -- The assignment was cancelled.
- Assigned (blue) -- The worker is assigned to an upcoming event.
- Confirmed (indigo) -- The worker confirmed their assignment.
Select the same row again to collapse the detail panel.
Using Performance Data
Identifying Top Performers
Sort by Reliability in descending order to see your most dependable families at the top. Consider recognizing these families or giving them priority for popular events.
Addressing No-Shows
Sort by No-Shows in descending order to identify families with the most missed events. Reach out to understand if there are scheduling conflicts or other issues.
Event Staffing Decisions
When planning events, reference the reliability scores to build a roster of workers who are likely to attend. Pair less reliable families with highly reliable ones to reduce the risk of short-staffed events.
Tips
- Check performance data regularly -- not just before events, but as a routine part of organization management.
- Use the Min Assignments filter to focus on families with enough history for meaningful statistics. A family with one assignment and one no-show has a 0% attendance rate, but that one data point is not very informative.
- The Reliability score accounts for cancellations differently than no-shows. Cancellations with advance notice have less impact on the score than last-minute no-shows.
- Combine this data with the Leaderboard to create a culture of engagement and accountability.
